For 20 years Ivan and Esther Schaeffer have been giving guidance to and investing in our Hebrew School and we are very indebted to them. Ivan shared many times that his Hebrew School education made him love Judaism and he wanted every Jewish child to have that opportunity. So they created the Ivan and Esther Schaeffer Chabad Hebrew School Scholarship Fund so that children who could not afford the Hebrew School tuition would get the help that they need. Ivan passed away in December 2023 and we have dedicated the Chabad Hebrew School in Ivan’s memory and it will now be called the Ivan Michael Schaeffer Chabad Hebrew School
