  • Recently, there has been much talk about the miniseries that debuted on Netflix in March, entitled "Unorthodox."  The show is loosely based on Deborah Feldman 's 2012 autobiography Unorthodox: The Scandalous Rejection of My Hasidic Roots.

The series brings many questions to light, such as: What is the view of women in Hassidic culture? Is abuse ever ok?  Is the protagonist’s experience typical of all Chassidic women?  Let's separate fact from fiction in candid and honest conversation.

Join us for an intriguing Zoom session: a no-holds-barred Q&A about this Netflix sensation, with Mrs. Miriam Lipsker, noted author and lecturer, co-director of the Chabad Student Center at Emory University.
